First organised in 2015, SMSANZ’s Orientation Camp is a flagship event aimed at providing a platform for incoming medical students to learn more about studying medicine overseas, while networking with their peers and seniors. The 2D1N programme includes an information session, Senior-Junior dinner, medicine-related station games and mass games to allow easier assimilation into their new homes for the next few years.
During winter 2019, SMSANZ organised its first ski trip, bringing together members across various states of Australia to Mount Buller, Victoria. The short getaway saw the team conquer the slopes and have a great time to bond over the riveting winter sport.
The End-of-Year BBQ is an opportunity for all SMSANZ members across Australia and New Zealand to network, socialise and build friendships.
This year, SMSANZ will be organising an inaugural Networking Cocktail open to all Singaporean medical students studying locally and abroad, for an evening of networking, food and fun. This aims to provide opportunity for future colleagues to get acquainted and serves as an excellent opportunity for students to meet and interact with reputable Singapore healthcare professionals.
